ABOUT THE CLUB
It all starts with a dream: a dream to not take yourself too seriously and enjoy what you do. At Brookfield United Cricket Club, we’ve been making dreams come true playing cricket in Brisbane since since 1875. Whilst we have experienced great success over the past 145 years, we have not let it go to our heads. On the field you are more likely to hear us having a go at each other in friendly banter than at the other team. The best part, once the final ball is bowled for the day then its time to have a beer with teammates and the opposition alike.

Brookfield United competes in various cricket leagues in the Brisbane region, including the Queensland Sub Districts Cricket Association, Warehouse Cricket, and the recently launched Community Cricket Championship tournament.

Want to play cricket in Brisbane? You can book the oval for a social match on days where there is no official game or other user groups using the oval. We can prepare the pitch and ground for your social match for a match preparation fee.

SHELL GREEN T20
Every year on Anzac Day, a very special ANZAC commemoration event is held known as the Shell Green T20 match. This game of cricket in Brisbane has been played between BUCC XI and Army XI since 2011. It is played in honour of the daring and notorious Shell Green cricket match held during World War One, where members of the Australian Army participated in a cricket match in Gallipoli as a diversionary tactic to ensure the safe withdrawal of troops.
