This year saw another strong performance from our second grade side in the Community Cricket Championship. After sneaking into 4th position to qualify for the finals, the boys had a dominant outright victory over the team that finished first in the regular season. 

The final played against Everton looked like it was going to finish in a similar fashion, saw Brooky secure a first innings lead and have the Everton boys on the ropes being 8 down with only a 39 run lead. Everton's tail wagged and they reached a lead of 72 before being dismissed.

Going into the chase confident, things went bad quickly with the first 4 wickets falling for just 12 runs. Unfortunately, things didn't improve much from there and the Brooky boys were bundled all out still needing 28 runs.

Congratulations to Everton who played well all year and stayed in the match to secure victory. The boys are keen to renew the rivalry next year.
